Hammam Al Ándalus is a modern recreation of the traditional Arab bath houses that flourished in Málaga during the centuries of Moorish rule. Located in the heart of the historic centre, just steps from the Picasso Museum, it offers a deeply relaxing bathing experience in a beautifully designed space of horseshoe arches, zellige tilework, candlelight, and the sound of flowing water.
The hammam experience follows the traditional circuit: a warm room to acclimatise, a hot room to open the pores, a cold plunge pool to invigorate, and a rest area to recover. The rooms are connected by corridors lit by star-shaped ceiling lanterns that cast patterns of light on the water — the atmosphere is genuinely transporting.

Sessions last 90 minutes for the bath circuit alone, or can be combined with a massage (kessa scrub, relaxing massage, or aromatherapy). Bathing is in swimwear and the environment is calm, quiet, and shared between genders.
The building itself is an architectural achievement — designed to evoke a Nasrid-era hammam, with materials and techniques drawn from the same Moorish tradition that built the Alcazaba above. The attention to detail in the tilework, the stone columns, and the water features is remarkable.
