These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of bettertraveltips.com (the “Service”), operated by Better Travel Tips from Norway (“we”, “us”). By accessing the Service you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, please do not use the Service.
1. The service
Better Travel Tips publishes independent travel guides for European cities and offers a free trip planner that lets signed-in users save places and build day-by-day itineraries. The Service is provided as-is and on an “as-available” basis.
2. Accounts
- To use the planner you sign in with Google. You are responsible for the security of the Google account you sign in with.
- You must provide accurate information and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing us at str.media.no@gmail.com.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or attempt to access it in unauthorised ways.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, copy, or redistribute our content beyond what is permitted by fair use and search-engine indexing
- Reverse-engineer, attempt to access the Service’s non-public parts, or bypass any rate limits
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others
- Introduce malware, spam, or automated traffic
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law
4. Content ownership
Our content: All text, images, graphics, logos, and original guide material on the Service are owned by Better Travel Tips or licensed to us. You may link to pages and quote short excerpts with attribution, but you may not reproduce entire guides without written permission.
Your content: Any notes, trips, and saved places you create belong to you. By creating them on the Service you grant us a limited licence to store and display them back to you so the Service can function. We do not publish or share your planner content.
5. Affiliate links and third-party content
Some links on the Service are affiliate links. If you click one and make a booking or purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects which places we recommend or how we describe them. Third-party sites linked from the Service (booking partners, maps, reviews) are governed by their own terms, not ours.
6. Accuracy of information
We work hard to keep prices, opening hours, transport info and descriptions up to date, but travel details change frequently. Always verify critical information — tickets, schedules, entry requirements — with the official source before you travel. The Service is for general information only and is not a substitute for professional advice or official sources.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Better Travel Tips is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost bookings, missed attractions, travel plans, or losses caused by reliance on information on the site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct).

We may change, add, or remove parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the Service and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by the courts of Norway, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
